After excelling in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions events, Tilottama Sen continued her impressive performance at the National Selection Trials 1&2 Group A by securing the top position in the 10m Air Rifle Women (ARW) Trial 1 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range near New Delhi. In a remarkable display of skill and composure, Sen, the Junior National Champion in ARW, made a stunning comeback under pressure to clinch the top spot in the Selection Trial 1 Final of the ARW event. Despite starting as the last qualifier, she steadily rose to the top with a score of 253.4.
Railways’ shooter Sonam Uttam Maskar, who had qualified fifth, put up a strong challenge but settled for second place with a score of 252.8 in the final. Nupur Kumrawat from Madhya Pradesh claimed the third spot with a score of 230.5. Shruti of Haryana, the top qualifier in the qualification round, finished in fifth place in the final with a score of 187.9.
Shahu Tushar Mane from Railways emerged victorious in the 10m Air Rifle Men (ARM) T1 Final, securing the top spot with a score of 253.9. Mane, who qualified fifth, displayed a consistent performance to clinch the gold in a closely contested final. Arshdeep Singh from Haryana secured the second position with a score of 251.1, while Parth Rakesh Mane from Maharashtra claimed the third spot with a score of 230.5.
Olympian Vijayveer Sidhu showcased his prowess by securing the top spot in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men event, hitting 31 targets in the final. Suraj Sharma, the national champion, had to settle for second place after hitting 29 targets in the final. Punjab’s Udhayveer Sidhu secured the third position with 25 hits in the final.
