Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet has stood by his actions during the Marty Supreme press tour. Chalamet, 29, has been promoting his portrayal of table tennis player Marty Mauser in the upcoming film. He clarified that his remarks were in line with Marty’s character, emphasizing the movie’s originality in a time dominated by sequels.

In an interview with IndieWire, Chalamet expressed his dedication to promoting the film in various ways, aligning with Marty Mauser’s essence. Despite facing backlash for claiming Marty Supreme as his best role after years of top-notch performances, Chalamet defended his commitment to the project, calling it “top-level.”

Chalamet’s comments on Good Morning America sparked speculation about a potential Oscar win for his role. He expressed confidence in the film’s success, hinting at his predictions for its future by the next summer. The actor disclosed spending seven years honing his table tennis skills before filming commenced, even practicing during breaks on other movie sets.
