Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet, known for his attention to detail, declined to use a butt double in his latest movie, ‘Marty Supreme’. In a scene where his character is spanked, Chalamet insisted on performing the stunt himself, rejecting the use of a stand-in.
During the filming, which lasted hours until the early morning, director Josh Safdie pushed for perfection, leading to about 40 takes of the scene. Actor Kevin O’Leary, who plays Milton Rockwell, had to use a real paddle after the prop broke on the first hit.
Kevin O’Leary described the scene as a pivotal moment of humiliation for Chalamet’s character Marty, as he was being punished for his actions. In the movie, Marty is spanked in front of guests at a dinner party by Rockwell, due to Marty’s involvement with Rockwell’s wife, played by Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paltrow, who shared scenes with Chalamet, revealed that their characters share numerous intimate moments in the film, with a particular focus on their physical relationship.
Gwyneth Paltrow explained that her character in ‘Marty Supreme’ is married to a member of the Ping-Pong underworld, and her encounters with Chalamet’s character breathe new life into her. She emphasized that their interactions are transactional but impactful for both characters.
The actress also noted the use of an intimacy coordinator on set to navigate the intimate scenes, highlighting a new experience for her in filming such sequences.
