Tom Kim secured victory at the Scottish Open with a flawless final round, marking his first win in the Rolex Series. His 6-under 64 performance granted him a two-shot triumph in the tournament, claiming his first PGA Tour title since 2023. Kim, previously ranked as high as No. 11 globally, sealed his victory with a remarkable shot on the 16th hole, finishing 6 feet from the pin.
Australia’s Min Woo Lee, the 2021 champion, trailed Kim by two shots, while Robert MacIntyre, Matt Fitzpatrick, Keita Nakajima from Japan, and American Johnny Keefer followed closely behind. Kim’s win not only secured him an invitation to the 2027 Masters Tournament but also earned Keefer, Michael Thorbjornsen, and Victor Perez spots in the upcoming Open Championship as the top three non-exempt players.
Since his emergence in 2022, Kim has consistently excelled at Renaissance, never finishing outside the top 20. Overwhelmed with emotion, Kim expressed his gratitude after returning to the winner’s circle following a recent period of struggle. Becoming the first South Korean to claim victory at the Scottish Open, Kim is set to rise in the world rankings, positioning himself just outside the top 30 and at No. 32 in the FedEx Cup standings.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre both carded a 69, with MacIntyre making a strong comeback on the back nine after a challenging start. Johnny Keefer’s Open debut is secured with a final round of 67, while Keita Nakajima matched his score, finishing ahead of Thorbjornsen and Rory McIlroy, the 2023 champion. Victor Perez and South Korean Si Woo Kim closed with rounds of 66, concluding the top ten leaderboard.
