Top Golfers to Compete at DP World Players Championship in Kolkata

Top golfers like Om Prakash Chouhan, Manu Gandas, Honey Baisoya, and Ajeetesh Sandhu are set to participate in the DP World Players Championship at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata from February 17 to 20. This tournament, part of the 2026 DP World PGTI season, offers a prize purse of INR 1.5 crore.

The event will also see the presence of leading Indian professionals such as Shaurya Bhattacharya, Angad Cheema, and other renowned players. Foreign players like Sri Lanka’s N. Thangaraja and American Jhared Hack will also be competing in the championship.

Notable golfers from Kolkata, including Shankar Das, Viraj Madappa, and Mohammad Sanju, will be among the participants. Amandeep Johl, CEO of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), expressed excitement about hosting the championship at the iconic Tollygunge Club, highlighting the strong partnership between PGTI and DP World.

Hitesh Gurtu, the golf captain of The Tollygunge Club Ltd., welcomed all participants and guests to the DP World Players Championship, emphasizing the club’s commitment to promoting professional golf in India. The tournament promises a week of high-quality golf and competitive spirit at Tollygunge Club.
