The release of director Geethu Mohandas’s action-drama ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’, starring Yash, has been rescheduled to June 4 this year. Initially set for a premiere on March 19, the decision to postpone was influenced by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The rescheduling was advised by major distribution partner Phars Films due to escalating tensions affecting cinema operations in the Gulf region.
The film’s makers, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, made this strategic move to ensure a smooth global theatrical release amid regional uncertainties. Despite preparations for a trailer launch on March 8 in Bangalore, the decision was taken to delay the release. The film’s promotional activities, including the debut of the first single ‘Tabaahi,’ were momentarily halted to align with the new release date.
In an official statement, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations expressed their vision of creating cinema for a global audience through ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. The film, shot in Kannada and English, aims to resonate with viewers worldwide. The makers acknowledged the challenges posed by the current situation, particularly in the Middle East, leading to the difficult but necessary choice to reschedule the release to June 4.
‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ will now hit cinemas globally on June 4, offering audiences an experience in English and various Indian languages. The film features a star-studded cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie’s multilingual approach underscores its international appeal.
