An attempt by five teenagers to create social media reels in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar ended tragically when they fell from a dilapidated structure, causing panic in the area. Sadly, one child lost their life in the fall, while two others sustained injuries.
Prompt rescue efforts, overseen by the Chief Minister’s office, led to the successful evacuation of two teenagers from the abandoned water tank rooftop. The Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, instructed the involvement of the Air Force, which airlifted the trapped children to safety.
The incident occurred at a water tank in Belasad Tappa Tharouli village of Navgarh tehsil in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Out of the five children involved in the incident, three fell when the ladder broke, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The remaining two children were stuck on top of the water tank.
Following immediate instructions from the Chief Minister to prioritize the children’s safety, the district administration, police, and disaster management teams swiftly responded to the scene. Due to challenges like waterlogging, heavy machinery was ineffective, prompting the request for an Air Force helicopter for the rescue operation.
