In a tragic incident near Tandalwadi village on the Mhaswad-Pandharpur route in Maharashtra’s Solapur, a pickup van carrying devotees overturned and fell into a well, resulting in the death of eight individuals, including four women and four children. The mishap has caused sorrow and distress in the village, with locals and authorities engaged in rescue efforts at the site.
Preliminary reports suggest that the van lost control due to brake failure while returning from the Siddhanath Temple in Mhaswad, leading to the fatal plunge. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed condolences for the victims and their families, offering compensation and ensuring support for the affected. He highlighted the tragic nature of the incident and the ongoing relief operations being conducted by the authorities.
NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar also expressed grief over the accident, emphasizing the tragic and shocking nature of the deaths caused by the van overturning into the well.
