A heartbreaking incident in Samastipur district has shocked the community as three siblings drowned in the Kareh River. The tragedy unfolded near the Bariyahi Ghat bridge in the Shivajinagar block, where the children were swept away by strong currents while playing in the river. Local authorities and rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene, initiating a search operation with divers and the SDRF team.

Two bodies were recovered initially, with the third child found later after extensive efforts. The victims, Aditya Kumar Jha (15), Harshnath Kumar Jha (13), and Kartik Kumar Jha (11), were all sons of Sudarshan Jha from Boraj village. The news of the incident brought officials like Circle Officer Manish Chaudhary, BDO Alok Kumar Singh, and SHO Ravindra Kumar to oversee the rescue operations.

The tragic loss of the three children has deeply affected the village, leaving residents in disbelief and the grieving family inconsolable. The entire community is mourning the devastating loss, struggling to cope with the tragedy. Meanwhile, another mishap in Jehanabad district involving a road accident has underscored the dangers of overspeeding.

The fatal accident near the Tehta Bypass on National Highway-22 involved a Scorpio colliding with a family on a motorcycle. The impact claimed the lives of a man and his daughter instantly, while the wife sustained critical injuries. The deceased, Shravan Kumar, from Saren village, was returning home with his family when the tragic collision occurred.

Local residents expressed outrage over the incident, leading to a protest on NH-22 demanding accountability. The police, along with administrative officials, intervened to manage the situation and restore normalcy. The bodies were taken for post-mortem examination, and investigations into the accident are ongoing.
