A tragic road accident occurred on the Bharatmala Expressway in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district, resulting in a massive fire that claimed the life of a trailer driver. The incident, which took place between Ratan Nagar and Chandaliya villages under the Osian police station area, involved a trailer carrying clay for tile manufacturing. The trailer collided with a peanut-laden truck, causing it to lose control, crash into a divider, and ignite in flames. Despite efforts by local villagers using water tankers, the driver was unable to escape and succumbed to the fire, while the cleaner sustained severe injuries. Firefighters from Osian managed to extinguish the blaze after two hours of intense effort. Fortunately, the truck driver involved in the collision escaped unharmed. The accident led to a significant traffic jam on the expressway, prompting police to divert vehicles through alternate routes to alleviate congestion. Local residents criticized the delayed response of authorities and lack of immediate firefighting measures at the scene.
