The trailer for the upcoming streaming series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ was revealed on Monday. This military drama is inspired by a challenging wartime operation of the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War.
Helmed by Oni Sen and created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, the series sheds light on the individuals involved in the operation. The cast includes Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin, and Amrita Bagchi.
Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, expressed Netflix’s dedication to showcasing unique and daring narratives. ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ is a narrative entrusted to Netflix by the Indian Air Force, offering a fresh perspective on the IAF’s contributions during the Kargil War.
The series pays homage to The Golden Arrows, a squadron that exemplified courage and sacrifice beyond duty for the nation. It promises to provide viewers with an authentic and immersive experience, delving into the lives, bravery, and quick decision-making of airforce pilots.
Produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films, ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ is scheduled for release on Netflix on August 7.
