Trinamool Congress (TMC) has initiated the ‘Banglar Samarthane Sanjog’ campaign, targeting about 200 notable individuals in West Bengal with a detailed report card named ‘Unnayoner Panchali’ to showcase the state government’s achievements over the last 15 years.
Senior TMC leaders are personally delivering specially curated kits to influential figures from various sectors, including arts, films, sports, academics, healthcare, and music. These kits consist of the ‘Unnayoner Panchali’ booklet, a personal letter from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and other materials.
As part of this drive, Health Minister Shashi Panja and MP Sharmila Sarkar visited Professor Manimoy Bandyopadhyay, Director of IPGMER and SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, to present him with the report card and the Chief Minister’s letter, recognizing his significant contributions to enhancing Bengal’s public healthcare system.
Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Nadimul Haque met renowned music composer Indraadip Dasgupta, handing him the ‘Unnayoner Panchali’ kit while discussing the state’s progress under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. This outreach to eminent personalities aims to garner wider support and promote the narrative of development ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
The ‘Unnayoner Panchali’ report, presented in a traditional lyrical format inspired by Bengal’s cultural storytelling, highlights key milestones in welfare schemes, infrastructure, job creation, women’s empowerment, and economic growth despite alleged central fund withholding.
This personalized engagement is part of a broader strategy following the recent launch of the report card in December 2025, showcasing achievements like job creation, poverty reduction, and social security programs. Trinamool leaders believe involving respected opinion-makers will combat misinformation and demonstrate transparent governance focused on the people.
This initiative reflects the party’s confidence in its 15-year governance as it gears up for upcoming elections, portraying Bengal’s progress as a collective achievement rooted in inclusivity and resilience.
