Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha visited Bhopal for the 28th AOMSI Mid-Term Convention and the 14th AOMSI Postgraduate Convention (MIDCOMS 2026). Saha, an esteemed oral and maxillofacial surgeon, is the chief guest at the three-day conference that has attracted experts from India and abroad.
Upon arrival, Saha was welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla at his residence. The two leaders engaged in discussions regarding healthcare and medical education. Dr. Saha’s wife, Swapna Saha, was also in attendance during the meeting.
Shukla highlighted the significance of the convention as a platform for professionals to share ideas and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field. He emphasized that Dr. Manik Saha’s presence would motivate young medical practitioners and enhance academic interactions in the domain.
The national convention, jointly organized by the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI), Madhya Pradesh State Chapter, and People’s University, Bhopal, is scheduled from July 2 to 4. Themed ‘Creating a Wholesome Surgeon,’ the event will focus on scientific research, advanced surgical techniques, clinical procedures, and trends in medical education.
Experts will deliver presentations and lead workshops on innovative practices in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with an emphasis on enhancing patient care through inventive approaches. The conference aims to encourage collaboration among specialists and expose postgraduate students to evolving global standards in the field.
The participation of senior surgeons and academicians is expected to bridge the gap between research and clinical application, strengthening academic networks and promoting the adoption of modern surgical practices across institutions.
