Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state government’s rapid implementation of development projects to ensure social and economic progress reaches all citizens. He mentioned the significant advancements in healthcare, education, tourism, information technology, and infrastructure, attracting interest from investors nationwide. Saha laid the foundation stone for a new hospital building and inaugurated healthcare services in Sepahijala district, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing people’s quality of life.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the state government has focused on welfare and development initiatives to benefit the population. Noteworthy efforts have been made to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, increase bed capacity in hospitals, and provide specialized medical services, including the establishment of a cardiac care unit in Ambassa. The Chief Minister also highlighted the successful implementation of health schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, benefiting numerous residents across Tripura.
In addition to healthcare improvements, the government is constructing a 100-bed eye hospital and planning to establish Homeopathy and Ayurvedic Medical Colleges to promote alternative medicine systems. Various initiatives, such as telemedicine services and trauma care centers, aim to enhance healthcare accessibility, especially in remote areas. Tripura’s economic achievements were also underscored, with the state ranking second in the northeastern region for Gross State Domestic Product and per capita income, recognized as a ‘Front Runner’ state by NITI Aayog for its developmental performance.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering balanced and inclusive development by expanding healthcare facilities, enhancing connectivity, generating employment opportunities, and overall improving the citizens’ quality of life. The event was attended by officials from different departments, including Sepahijala District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal and Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Kiran Gitte.
