Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha encouraged students to prioritize ethics and moral values alongside academics, stating that education should serve society and the nation’s welfare. He stressed that instilling values in education is crucial for nurturing responsible citizens. Saha inaugurated a new school building in Fatikroy and laid the foundation stone for a bridge project benefiting around 6,000 to 7,000 individuals, especially farmers, enhancing connectivity in the region. The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s improved safety measures, noting a decline in crime rates that has empowered women to move freely, even at night.
Saha also mentioned the state’s focus on integrating technology into education, introducing initiatives like Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL) to enhance accessibility and student-centric learning under the National Education Policy. He expressed the government’s commitment to modernizing the education system and fostering moral values among students. Tripura has seen progress in higher education infrastructure, including the establishment of medical colleges and specialized universities, reducing the necessity for students to seek education outside the state.
Accompanied by various officials, including Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to education, combining modernization with ethical values.
