Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the significance of the healthcare sector, stating that it remains a key focus area for the state government. He praised ASHA workers for their vital role in providing health services directly to the people’s doorsteps. The Chief Minister mentioned plans to raise the honorarium for Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers in Tripura.

Chief Minister Saha, who oversees the Health and Family Welfare portfolio, made these remarks during the state-level ASHA convention held at the International Fair and Exhibition Ground at Hapania. He noted that this convention marked a significant event after a gap of nearly nine years since the last gathering in 2017. Saha commended ASHA workers for being a beacon of hope and acknowledged their dedication in serving both urban and rural communities.

During the event, Chief Minister Saha commended the efforts of ASHA workers in ensuring healthcare services and awareness programs reach the grassroots level. He emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services and lauded the workers for their contributions to public health. Saha also mentioned ongoing considerations for enhancing the welfare of the ASHA workers in the state, including increased honorarium and additional training opportunities.
