Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the successful re-establishment of the rule of law in the state and the effective handling of insurgency under the BJP-led government. Speaking at an award ceremony for academic excellence among minority students, CM Saha mentioned the government’s focus on addressing challenges inherited from the previous administration.
He stressed the importance of viewing minorities as diverse communities, encompassing Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Jains. CM Saha also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance principles, emphasizing the commitment to the welfare of all Indians. He lauded key reforms such as the abolition of triple talaq and increased transparency in Waqf Board affairs.
The Chief Minister outlined various initiatives by the State Minority Welfare Department, including scholarships, hostel construction, madrasa development, and skill development programs for unemployed youth. He noted the government’s efforts to bring stability and address unresolved cases from the previous regime, aiming to integrate those involved in violence back into society.
