Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state government’s efforts to enhance the socio-economic conditions of residents, especially in remote areas. He virtually inaugurated 15 development projects in northern Tripura’s Dhalai district, including a new building for Halahali Class XII School in Kamalpur. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, various development initiatives are being implemented across Tripura, focusing on aspirational blocks and improving education quality.
Saha emphasized the government’s commitment to educational development, mentioning initiatives like Smart Classes, Nipun Tripura, and providing bicycles to girl students. Efforts are also underway to establish 21 Eklavya Model Residential Schools for tribal students. In the healthcare sector, significant progress has been made, ensuring medical services for all through schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state government’s focus on women’s empowerment, with the formation of 55,000 self-help groups promoting self-reliance among women. Over five lakh women are now part of these groups. Tripura has received around 350 national awards for its successful implementation of developmental and welfare programs. The inaugurated projects include the renovation of Ambassa Degree College, construction of various school buildings, Anganwadi centers, roads, and laying foundation stones for additional facilities.
