Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha lauded the Union Budget 2026-27 as a forward-looking plan that prioritizes last-mile development and infrastructure growth in the Northeastern region. He described the budget as inclusive and focused on the well-being of the people. Saha highlighted the Budget’s emphasis on last-mile delivery, infrastructure strengthening, and the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas aur Vishwas.
The Chief Minister commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to reaching remote areas, which is evident in the Budget proposals. He welcomed the proposed Buddhist Circuit that would cover several Northeastern states, including Tripura, boosting tourism and regional economic activities. Saha also appreciated the plan to introduce electric buses in the region to enhance public transport and connectivity.
Describing the Budget as youth-oriented and farmer-friendly, Saha emphasized its focus on the welfare of the youth, farmers, and women. He noted increased investments in health, road connectivity, and high-speed transport infrastructure. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Budget’s impact would be visible by 2030, contributing to the vision of a developed India by 2047.
