Tripura’s Director General of Police, Anurag, was discovered deceased in the bathroom connected to his office at the state Police Headquarters. He was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Dr. Pradip Bhowmik, the Head of the Department of Medicine at the hospital, mentioned that Anurag arrived without vital signs and was declared deceased after a medical evaluation. The exact cause of his death is pending confirmation until the post-mortem report is available.
Anurag, a senior IPS officer of the Tripura cadre, assumed the role of Director General of Police in May last year. Prior to this position, he held various significant roles within the police department and had a distinguished career in law enforcement.
