Trouble is increasing for Khan Global Studies Center in Patna, run by Faisal Khan, known as ‘Khan Sir,’ as it failed to meet fire safety standards during an inspection. The Bihar Fire Safety services conducted the audit following a recent fire incident at a hospital in Muzaffarpur. The coaching institute has been issued a notice for multiple violations of mandatory fire safety guidelines.
The inspection revealed several deficiencies at the institute, including the absence of emergency exits, inadequate firefighting equipment, and non-compliance with safety norms. The Bihar Fire Service Commandant mentioned that the institute had been previously inspected in May as well. Due to the large number of students visiting the center daily, ensuring their safety is a top priority.
Authorities have instructed the coaching management to address all necessary issues within seven to 10 days. Failure to meet the safety standards within the given timeframe may lead to further actions. Previous inspections had also highlighted deficiencies, but the lack of progress in rectifying them has prompted a stricter approach from the department.
Fire safety checks were also carried out at private hospitals in Patna, revealing serious safety shortcomings. The recent fire tragedy at a hospital in Muzaffarpur, where seven people lost their lives, has raised concerns about safety standards in such establishments.
