A truck carrying cement overturned in the Ghansali area of Uttarakhand’s Tehri district, causing disruption to vehicular movement. Police responded promptly to the incident to restore normal traffic flow without any reported injuries. The disruption occurred on the Jakhdhar–Pokhal stretch of NH-707A, leading to traffic diversions and congestion management by the authorities.
Efforts are underway to clear the overturned truck and ensure smooth traffic movement in the area. Traffic management measures have been implemented, redirecting vehicles from Chamba and Tehri towards Maletha via alternative routes. Police teams are on-site, urging commuters to cooperate and follow the designated diversions to ease congestion and facilitate traffic flow.
In a separate incident on May 1, a tempo traveler en route from Delhi to Gangotri met with an accident near Nagraja Dhar on the Nagun-Suvakholi motorway. Five passengers were injured and taken to a nearby health center for treatment. The tempo traveler, carrying 23 passengers, experienced brake failure, leading to the accident, which fortunately did not result in a more serious outcome due to the vehicle getting lodged in a roadside drain.
