US President Donald Trump highlighted the importance of the cryptocurrency sector, stating that the United States must lead in this strategic industry to prevent China from taking over. Speaking at the White House during an event, Trump underscored the significance of digital assets and artificial intelligence for America’s economic and technological progress.

Trump expressed his initial skepticism towards cryptocurrencies but acknowledged their substantial growth and impact. He emphasized that failure to embrace this sector would allow China to gain a competitive advantage in emerging technologies.

The President criticized the previous administration’s stance on digital assets, noting a shift in his own views over time. Trump stressed the need for the US to invest in cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence to maintain its global leadership position and stay ahead of China in these rapidly expanding industries.

Trump also linked cryptocurrency to the administration’s broader strategy on artificial intelligence, emphasizing the necessity of expanding electricity generation and computing infrastructure to support technological advancements. He highlighted the importance of nuclear energy as a reliable power source for AI development, citing advancements in reactor technology.
