US President Donald Trump confirmed his safety following an incident where shots were fired at a Washington hotel during a journalists’ event. Trump reassured the public that the First Lady, Vice President JD Vance, and all Cabinet members were unharmed. The shooter was swiftly apprehended, leading to a dramatic turn of events in the District of Columbia.

Several officials, including FBI Director Kash Patel, who were attending the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, were reported safe after the shooting incident. Secret Service agents intervened decisively, evacuating individuals from the scene. Trump initially suggested continuing the event but later decided to follow law enforcement advice and reschedule the dinner within 30 days.

Trump, who had previously boycotted the annual dinner due to strained relations with the media, attended for the first time as president. The event, known for its humor and satire, was disrupted by the shooting incident. Trump commended the Secret Service and Law Enforcement for their swift and brave response to the situation.
