President Donald Trump plans to send special envoys to Pakistan to engage with Iran, as per White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Special Envoy Woff and Jared Kushner will head to Islamabad to meet with Iranian officials in person. The administration has noted progress from Iran but has not confirmed a unified proposal from Tehran.
Senior US leaders, including the president, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will stay in the US for updates. Vice President Vance is ready to go to Pakistan if needed. Meanwhile, an extension of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has been confirmed, with Leavitt praising the negotiation efforts of President Trump and his team for global peace.
Leavitt also mentioned an ongoing investigation into the Federal Reserve’s financial management, now under a different authority. The investigation continues, now overseen by the Inspector General.
