Tvesa Malik and Ridhima Dilawari showcased strong performances in Round One of Leg-4 of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour 2026 at the Poona Club Golf Course. Tvesa’s late birdies and Ridhima’s front-nine birdie spree led them to both card impressive 3-under 68s, putting them in a tie for the lead after the first day. Vani Kapoor followed closely behind with a solid 69, securing the third spot, while amateur Anuradha Chaudhary’s under-par round placed her in fourth.
Tvesa, coming off a playoff victory last week, navigated through a mix of birdies and bogeys to reach a level par with four holes remaining. She then finished strong with consecutive birdies to claim a share of the lead. Meanwhile, Ridhima surged ahead with a remarkable six birdies but faltered with a double bogey and a closing bogey to also finish at 68. The competition remains tight with promising performances from the top players.
In the midst of the leaderboard, amateur Lavanya Gupta posted a respectable 1-over 72 to secure the fifth position. Following closely behind were five players, including Sneha Singh and Durga Nittur, all tied at 2-over 73 each. Notable players like Amandeep Drall and Neha Tripathi also showed their skills, positioning themselves within the top rankings.
The tournament this week boasts a record 49-player field competing for a prize purse of Rs. 17 lakhs, with Hero MotoCorp’s continued support elevating the tour to new heights. Tvesa Malik’s recent triumph in the previous leg marked the end of a lengthy winless streak, underscoring the competitive nature of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour. The event promises more exciting golfing action in the days ahead.
