Amid speculation about Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s government expansion and potential Cabinet roles for the AIADMK rebel faction led by C.Ve. Shanmugam, Minister Aadhav Arjuna clarified the ruling alliance’s political vision. Following Vijay’s swearing-in with nine ministers post the Assembly election, attention now turns to the anticipated Cabinet expansion this week. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s arrival in Chennai hints at discussions with Chief Minister Vijay on the expansion process.
Political circles are keenly observing the inclusion of Congress members and other alliance partners in the upcoming Cabinet expansion. Minister Arjuna emphasized TVK’s support for broader political representation, aiming to unite like-minded parties under a common platform. He mentioned inviting VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan to participate in the government, advocating for representation from Congress, Left parties, and IUML.
Aadhav Arjuna highlighted the AIADMK’s internal dynamics post-election, noting a shift in the party’s direction. He pointed out the faction led by C.Ve.
