Two individuals have been apprehended in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, for assisting terrorists, as per the police. One of the arrested is a Forest Department employee. They were found aiding local terrorists, leading to their arrest under relevant laws. Additionally, in Shopian district, three individuals were detained following the discovery of arms and ammunition during a search operation.
Senior Superintendent of Police in Kishtwar, Naresh Singh, mentioned that the arrests were a result of a thorough investigation. Efforts are ongoing to identify and capture other associates connected to the network. The police emphasized that all involved individuals will face strict legal action.
In a separate incident in Shopian district, security forces detained three persons from Begam village and seized explosives and incriminating materials. The operation, based on specific intelligence, led to the recovery of grenades, posters, explosive substances, and mobile phones from the detainees. The recovered items are under forensic examination, with the individuals being interrogated post the registration of an FIR.
