Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district have apprehended two individuals in connection with a cow slaughter case. Mohammad Khan was arrested for his involvement in the incident, while Aqiluddin, also known as Gattu, was caught after a police encounter. During the encounter, Aqiluddin sustained a leg injury from a bullet, and a police constable was also injured.

Authorities reported the recovery of bovine meat, cow slaughter tools, and an illegal firearm from the accused individuals. ASP Shivam Ashutosh detailed the operation, stating that the police received information about a cow slaughter at Aqiluddin’s residence in Gram Mahlaun. Upon raiding the location, they found Mohammad Khan in possession of around 40 kg of bovine meat, along with slaughter equipment.

Further steps are being taken by the police in the ongoing investigation, with efforts underway to gather more information about other suspects involved in the case. These arrests are part of increased police actions against individuals linked to cow slaughter incidents in Uttar Pradesh. In a separate incident in Shahjahanpur district, two wanted criminals accused of cow slaughter were arrested after a police encounter, with illegal weapons and ammunition seized from them.

Additional Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar mentioned that the police received a tip-off about the presence of the criminals near Jindon Wali Puliya, where they were allegedly preparing for cow slaughter. Upon reaching the location, a joint police team initiated a search operation, leading to a confrontation where the suspects attempted to flee and opened fire at the police. One of the accused sustained bullet injuries, while the other was arrested.
