At least two men reportedly associated with Pakistan’s intelligence agency were killed during an incident in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district. The Baloch armed group had set up a checkpoint on the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway, where the men were shot dead while attempting to flee. Another individual was detained, and subsequent clashes occurred as Pakistani forces moved towards the area.
Reports indicate that the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) had recently entered Karkh town, destroying police stations and government property. In a separate event, Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) convoy vehicle was targeted with explosive material in the Tejaban area of Kech district, resulting in vehicle damage and injuries to two personnel who were hospitalized.
Furthermore, armed individuals launched attacks on two Pakistani military checkposts in Kech, seizing weapons and setting the checkpoints ablaze. As Baloch armed groups escalate activities in Balochistan, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for attacks in Quetta and Naseerabad, resulting in casualties among Pakistani security personnel.
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) also asserted responsibility for attacks on a military camp and security forces checkpoint in Kech, causing significant casualties and infrastructural damage. The groups involved described these actions as part of their ongoing armed resistance against what they term as “occupying forces” in Balochistan.
