In Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa and Chhatarpur districts, two police constables tragically ended their lives. The first incident involved Ansingh Nargawe, whose body was discovered hanging in Khandwa near Balaji Dham colony. Nargawe, a constable from Rewa, was on leave at the time of the incident.
In a similar occurrence, Tarun Gandharv, another constable, was found hanging in a deserted police outpost near Nowgaon bus stand. Gandharv, from Sagar district, was serving in Chhatarpur district. Preliminary investigations suggest that Gandharv may have been under significant mental stress.
These incidents highlight the mental well-being challenges faced by individuals. Madhya Pradesh has seen a high number of suicides, with 15,491 cases reported in a year, constituting about 9.1% of the national total.
