Two siblings, a brother, and his younger sister tragically drowned in a well in Baghwan village of Chhatarpur district. The incident unfolded when 13-year-old Muskan slipped into the well while bathing, prompting her brother Satyajeet Rajput to jump in to rescue her. Despite his brave efforts, both siblings succumbed to the depth of the well.
The siblings had gone to bathe at their agricultural field well in Baghwan village under the Luvkush Nagar police station area. Muskan accidentally fell into the deep well while bathing, leading to the fatal chain of events. Satyajeet heroically attempted to save his sister’s life, but unfortunately, they both lost their lives in the rescue attempt.
Upon hearing the commotion, their elder brother, Niranjan Rajput, rushed to the scene and sought help from nearby villagers. Despite swift efforts to pull them out, both siblings were declared dead upon arrival at Luvkush Nagar hospital. The entire Baghwan village is mourning the tragic loss of the siblings, with family members and locals deeply saddened by the incident.
Police officials from Luvkush Nagar police station have launched an investigation into the matter, registering a case of accidental death. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination as authorities assess the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the safety measures at the well. The bereaved family is receiving support from the local administration during this challenging period.
