In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district, two young men lost their lives when the motorbike they were riding caught fire after being hit by a car. The accident occurred on a national highway at Aravakuru Cheruvu Cross in Kuderu mandal late on Saturday night.
The collision with a Bolero car caused the petrol tank of the bike to explode, leading to a fire that engulfed the two-wheeler. Both riders were unable to escape the flames and died at the scene.
After colliding with the bike, the car also hit an autorickshaw, causing it to overturn. A person in the three-wheeler sustained severe injuries and was promptly taken to Anantapur’s government hospital for treatment.
The victims of the accident were identified as Ajit Kumar (20) and Akash (22), recognized by the bike’s registration number. Akash, who was his parents’ only son, worked as a tractor driver to support his family, while Ajith was a welder in their village in Vajrakaruru mandal.
In a separate incident of road rage in Rangareddy district near Hyderabad, a car driver drove approximately two kilometers with a man on the bonnet following a dispute over a road accident. The altercation began after the car hit a man and his son on a motorbike, leading to a confrontation.
Despite the bike rider clinging to the car’s bonnet, the driver continued driving for the distance before eventually returning to the scene of the accident and fleeing after locals intervened.
The victim reported the incident to the police, who initiated an investigation and filed a case in response to the road rage incident.
