The UAE’s Ministry of Defence announced that 17 ballistic missiles were detected, with 16 destroyed and one falling into the sea. Additionally, 117 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) were detected, with 113 intercepted and four falling within the country’s territory. The Ministry stated that since the Iranian attacks began, a total of 238 ballistic missiles were detected, of which 221 were destroyed, and 15 fell into the sea.
“These attacks resulted in four deaths among Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals, with 112 people sustaining moderate to minor injuries,” the Ministry reported. The injured individuals represented various nationalities, including UAE, Egypt, Sudan, and more. UAE’s Ministry of Defence emphasized its readiness to address threats and ensure the country’s security, sovereignty, and stability.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the nation’s commitment to security and protection for all residents and visitors. He praised the armed forces, security services, and national institutions for their efforts in safeguarding the country. The President also acknowledged the unity and awareness displayed by the people of the UAE during these challenging times.
The conflict in West Asia escalated following US-Israel strikes on Iran, leading to retaliatory actions from Iran targeting US assets and allied forces. The UAE remains vigilant in defending its sovereignty and advancing towards the future amidst the ongoing tensions.
