A delegation led by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), visited Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at the Parliament House. The meeting highlighted the enduring partnership between India and the UAE, emphasizing mutual trust and cooperation. The UAE minister also held discussions with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu to enhance collaboration in India’s aviation sector, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) and manufacturing.
India and the UAE have a longstanding commercial relationship that has evolved into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership over the years. The partnership, which dates back to the 1960s, has expanded to cover trade, investment, energy, technology, and strong people-to-people ties. Both countries consider each other as key economic partners in their respective regions, setting a model for bilateral cooperation in the 21st century.
