The United Arab Emirates’ Defence Ministry announced the detection of four cruise missiles launched from Iran towards different areas in the country. The Ministry confirmed successful interception of the aerial threats, resulting in sounds heard in various parts of the UAE. UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority urged people to stay safe and follow official updates as air defense systems responded to the missile threat.
The Authority advised against approaching or handling any fallen fragments from the intercepted missiles, emphasizing the importance of allowing relevant authorities to assess the situation. Notably, the Ministry disclosed that three out of the four cruise missiles were engaged over the country’s territorial waters, with one falling into the sea. In a previous incident on April 3, the UAE’s Ministry of Defence revealed engagement with multiple ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles launched from Iran.
Since the onset of Iranian attacks, UAE’s air defenses have intercepted a significant number of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAVs. Tragically, the attacks led to casualties among armed forces personnel and civilians of various nationalities. The statement mentioned the martyrdom of individuals from Morocco, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India, along with injuries sustained by a diverse group of nationals from different countries.
