UAE off-spinner Dhruv Parashar acknowledged the challenge posed by South Africa’s fast bowlers in their recent T20 World Cup match. Despite a strong start, UAE struggled against the pace attack, ultimately losing by six wickets. Parashar highlighted the need to adapt to such high-speed bowling in future games.

Parashar mentioned the unfamiliarity of facing bowlers consistently hitting speeds of 140-145 km/h. He emphasized the importance of preparing to counter such pace variations in upcoming matches. The spinner also noted the unexpected pitch behavior due to overcast conditions, affecting the match dynamics.

Reflecting on the tournament, Parashar expressed optimism about UAE’s progress, especially in batting performance. He pointed out the valuable experience gained from facing top teams, boosting confidence for future competitions. Despite the defeat, Parashar highlighted the growth shown by the team throughout the World Cup campaign.

Parashar shared his personal fulfillment of playing in a World Cup on Indian soil, underscoring the significance of realizing a childhood dream. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity and support from UAE cricket management. The spinner also mentioned the strong team bond and relaxed atmosphere within the UAE camp, emphasizing the close-knit culture off the field.
