Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray has called out the Bharatiya Janata Party, daring them to face a fair fight without the Enforcement Directorate and CBI. He criticized the current administration for targeting women through agencies and urged unity among Marathi people against the prevailing “anarchy.” Thackeray expressed disappointment in the BJP leadership, highlighting the absence of leaders like Arun Jaitley in the current Cabinet.
At the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Bharatiya Kamgar Sena, Thackeray addressed various issues such as labor rights, political defections, women’s safety, and the misuse of central agencies. He emphasized the loyalty of the Bharatiya Kamgar Sena towards workers over 58 years. Thackeray questioned the BJP’s commitment to women’s empowerment, particularly in light of the Women’s Reservation Bill and the absence of female representatives at significant events.
Thackeray criticized political defectors for prioritizing personal gain and highlighted the importance of loyalty towards workers. He expressed concerns about Indian workers abroad, criticizing the trend of seeking employment in conflict zones due to the lack of opportunities in India. Thackeray also condemned the government’s approach towards labor strikes and advocated for a more supportive environment for workers.
Advocating for responsible family planning, Thackeray defended states implementing family planning policies and challenged calls for larger families, questioning the impact on unemployment. He criticized the government’s focus on external elections over internal issues, citing disparities in resource allocation between different states. Thackeray invoked the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, emphasizing the spirit of Maharashtra in fighting against injustice and standing firm against external pressures.
