Launching a state-wide outreach campaign, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray rallied in Yavatmal-Washim, Vidarbha, following recent party setbacks. Thackeray criticized defectors as “traitors” and “crooks,” emphasizing the party’s grassroots loyalty. Dismissing claims of party demise as mere “howling of jackals,” he vowed to showcase Shiv Sena’s strength.
Thackeray regretted giving tickets to turncoats, labeling them as ungrateful and corrupt. He accused them of betrayal and clandestine dealings, asserting the party’s commitment to ideological purity. Thackeray contrasted Shiv Sena’s Hindutva with BJP’s, alleging hypocrisy and commercialization of faith by the ruling alliance.
In a strategic move, Thackeray named Siddharth Devle as the party’s Washim (SC) Assembly candidate, challenging the ruling faction. Addressing agrarian distress, he demanded complete debt liberation for farmers in the region. Responding to Thackeray’s rally, Sanjay Rathod of the Shinde faction downplayed the opposition’s impact, emphasizing performance over rhetoric.
