Debris from an unclaimed drone wing was discovered on the western Kutch coastline during intensified patrolling. The material, found between Pingleshwar Beach and Sindhodi village on May 2, has been sent to the Indian Air Force for examination to determine its origin and specifications. The recovery was part of coordinated patrols involving various security units.
The debris, identified as a section of a drone wing measuring around 10 feet in length and three feet in width, was located in an unclaimed state. Following the discovery, necessary consultations were held with senior officers, and legal procedures were initiated before transferring the material for further analysis. Superintendent of Police Vikas Sunda mentioned that the object was detected during routine surveillance activities.
The recovered component has been forwarded to the Air Force Station in Bhuj for technical assessment. The authorities aim to identify the drone model and manufacturing origin through detailed analysis. The ongoing coastal security exercise in response to recent weather conditions aims to enhance maritime and border security in the region, with further investigations dependent on the Air Force’s findings.
