Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, visited Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, at his residence in Bhopal. They talked about the state’s progress, agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, and the execution of public welfare programs through collaboration between the Centre and the state government.
Chouhan’s office stated that both leaders assessed various ongoing development projects in the state and evaluated the advancement of central schemes in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting is notable as Chouhan governed Madhya Pradesh for almost 17 years before moving to the Union Cabinet post the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Following the BJP’s triumph in the 2023 Assembly elections, Mohan Yadav assumed the state’s leadership. This encounter marked their second meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence in recent times. Their previous interaction on April 29 also revolved around state development and welfare initiatives.
The BJP has consistently emphasized the close collaboration between the Centre and the Madhya Pradesh government to expedite progress and ensure the efficient implementation of welfare programs, especially in agriculture and rural domains. Additionally, during his Bhopal visit, the Union Agriculture Minister planted a sapling at Smart City Park, continuing his daily pledge to contribute to a greener Earth.
