Chouhan held discussions with senior officials at Krishi Bhavan to address crop losses due to unseasonal weather. He emphasized the need for swift damage assessment and relief measures for affected farmers. The government is gearing up for the procurement season, assuring farmers of purchasing wheat and paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
Preparations for the upcoming Kharif season are underway, with a region-specific approach being adopted. Regional conferences are planned to tailor agricultural strategies to local conditions, with the country divided into five regions for better coordination and planning. The government aims to strengthen support systems for farmers ahead of the Kharif sowing season through these consultations.
