Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan engaged in discussions with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to address payment issues encountered by students during the CBSE post-result and re-evaluation process. Both ministers agreed to involve State Bank of India (SBI) and three other Public Sector Banks (PSBs) to rectify these glitches.
As per an official statement, four PSBs – SBI, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, and Indian Bank – will support CBSE in enhancing its payment gateway infrastructure and integrating it with the post-examination services portal. The objective is to establish secure payment protocols for timely payments, resolve payment errors, and facilitate automatic refunds for any overpayments.
Pradhan instructed CBSE to revamp its Payment Gateway System entirely. The coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Finance and PSBs aim to ensure smooth digital transactions, enhance payment gateway stability, and provide a seamless experience for students utilizing CBSE re-evaluation and related services.
In response to concerns raised by students and parents about the CBSE post-result services portal’s functionality issues, Pradhan decided to involve professors and technical experts from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur. This move is intended to assist CBSE in conducting a glitch-free re-evaluation process and addressing the challenges faced by applicants.
