Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assisted a critically injured NEET UG aspirant, Shrishti Dubey, to take her exam in Kolkata. Shrishti appeared for the exam at Binodini Girls High School with special arrangements, including a separate room, medical support, and a standby ambulance. Pradhan personally called Shrishti’s father to inquire about her well-being as she started writing the exam.
Shreeram Shiwji Dubey, Shrishti’s father, expressed gratitude to the Minister for enabling his daughter to take the exam under challenging circumstances. Shrishti’s mother also thanked Pradhan for his support after her daughter’s accident on June 14. The family had lost hope of her appearing for the exam but with Pradhan’s intervention, special arrangements were made for her.
Pradhan conveyed his hope that Shrishti would excel in the exam and fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor. He assured Shrishti’s father of a possible meeting in Kolkata in the future. Earlier, Shrishti’s father had reached out to Pradhan seeking permission for his daughter to sit for the exam after a serious accident. The NEET UG 2026 re-examination saw participation from over 20 lakh students nationwide with enhanced security measures.
