Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters to assess the NEET UG 2026 examination. He oversaw operational aspects and coordination with examination centers to ensure a smooth conduct of the test nationwide. The NTA conducted the NEET UG 2026 examination for around 23 lakh registered candidates at various centers under strict protocols.
During his visit, officials briefed the Minister on measures taken to manage the large number of candidates and maintain discipline at examination venues. Dharmendra Pradhan, in a social media post, extended best wishes to the students appearing for the NEET UG examination. He emphasized the values of the medical profession and encouraged students to stay focused and give their best.
NEET UG is India’s largest undergraduate entrance examination, facilitating admissions to medical programs like MBBS, BDS, and others. The scores obtained in NEET UG determine eligibility for counseling processes like the All India Quota (AIQ) and state-level counseling. The NTA will announce the minimum qualifying percentile for each category post result declaration.
