Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke at a public event in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, marking four years of the Dhami government and nine years of BJP rule in the state. Shah highlighted Uttarakhand’s statehood movement, praising the sacrifices made for recognition and identity. He credited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for creating Uttarakhand and emphasized the state’s progress under BJP leadership.
Shah commended the Dhami government for addressing state challenges and announced development projects worth Rs 1,132 crore. He discussed legal reforms, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, aimed at expediting justice processes. Shah also mentioned employment initiatives, citing the recruitment of 1,900 police Constables without recommendations or bribes.
The Home Minister raised the issue of citizenship for religious minorities from neighboring countries, criticizing past governments for denying them rights. Shah expressed confidence in BJP’s future electoral prospects, urging support for the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections. He called for the formation of a full-majority BJP government in Uttarakhand in 2027, rallying the electorate for the party’s success.
