Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the eradication of Naxalism in India by March 31, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Shah highlighted significant improvements in national security and economic sectors under the current government. He emphasized the successful handling of terrorism and Naxalism during the BJP’s tenure, stating that both threats had been eliminated within the past decade.
Shah mentioned the establishment of a Demographic Change Commission by the Union Home Ministry to address issues of infiltration and unnatural demographic changes. The event, held at Mata Umiya Dham in Ahmedabad, marked the inauguration of two new hostel facilities costing over Rs 170 crore. These hostels are designed to accommodate approximately 1,600 students from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Rajkot MP Parshottam Rupala, state government ministers, and officials from the Umiya Mata Sansthan. Shah concluded his speech by commending the organizers and donors involved in the project and expressing optimism for the timely completion of the institution’s remaining initiatives.
