Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi for allegedly spreading confusion regarding the India-US trade agreement. Chouhan emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ensuring the safety and strength of the country’s food providers. Accusing Gandhi of misinformation, Chouhan claimed that the opposition leader was neglecting the interests of farmers and attempting to mislead the public.
Chouhan further stated that PM Modi has consistently prioritized farmers’ welfare and made decisions in their favor. He highlighted that the interim trade arrangement with the US aimed to protect farmers’ interests and safeguard crucial sectors like wheat, millets, fruits, and vegetables. Chouhan assured that the agreement would open up new market opportunities for various Indian agricultural products, benefiting farmers across different sectors.
Reaffirming his support for the Modi government, Chouhan reiterated that every decision taken by the Prime Minister was geared towards empowering farmers and fostering a self-reliant India. He emphasized that the trade pact with the US would enhance market access for Indian agricultural goods, including spices, coffee, tea, and marine products. Chouhan concluded by asserting that PM Modi’s leadership would lead to the creation of a prosperous and self-sufficient India.
