Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attributed the recent West Bengal mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s organizational strategy. He also acknowledged the efforts of party workers, emphasizing the national significance of the verdict. Shekhawat highlighted the people’s desire for change and stability in a strategically important region.
The Minister stated that the outcome signifies a strong public mandate favoring development, governance, and security. He further emphasized the geopolitical importance of West Bengal, citing its coastline along the Bay of Bengal and international borders with Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Shekhawat stressed that governance and security in the region are crucial for the country.
Shekhawat credited the performance to PM Modi’s leadership, Amit Shah’s organizational strategy, and the dedicated efforts of party workers. He also acknowledged the contributions of BJP leadership in the state, including National President Nitin Nabin, Bengal in-charge Bhupender Yadav, and General Secretary Sunil Bansal, in executing the campaign effectively.
Describing the result as a continuation of the party’s ideological vision, Shekhawat noted that it reflects voters’ aspirations for development-oriented governance and stronger administrative systems. He expressed confidence before the second phase of polling, stating that political change in West Bengal was inevitable and voters had already favored the BJP.
