Union Minister Pralhad Joshi criticized the Congress, stating that the party lacks genuine concern for appointing a Dalit Chief Minister. Joshi claimed that the focus on a “Dalit CM” is a new angle arising from the ongoing power struggle between the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
Addressing the media in Bengaluru, Joshi highlighted escalating internal conflicts within the Congress, emphasizing that the State’s welfare has been sidelined amidst the battle for the Chief Minister’s position. He expressed concern over the State’s governance breakdown due to disputes, corruption, and neglect of critical issues.
Joshi raised alarm over the severe drinking water scarcity in the State, particularly in North Karnataka, coupled with deteriorating road conditions. He criticized the Congress for prioritizing the Chief Minister’s seat over pressing state matters, leading to a governance crisis.
The Minister also condemned the Congress’ behavior at the AI summit, labeling it as “shocking and regrettable.” He called for an apology from the party for its inappropriate conduct during the event, which was attended by international representatives, ministers, and industry experts.
